Arena played host to a boxing event on Saturday night as Ashleyann Lozada
secured the WBC Latino Super Bantamweight Championship.

Lozada proved her talent in the ring by when defeating veteran Debora Anahi
Dionicius over eight rounds of action.
According to news sources, from the opening bell, Lozada, 121 lbs., utilized her
reach and footwork to neutralize the tactical approach of Dionicius, 119 ˝.

While Dionicius entered the ring with a significant experience advantage,
Lozada’s speed and precision proved to be the deciding factors. Lozada
consistently beat Dionicius to the punch, landing crisp combinations and
controlling the tempo of every round.
Lozada won the bout, that reflected the judges scores, the scores were 80-70,
79-71, and 80-70, all in favor of Lozada.
In the post fight interview, Lozada’s camp said, "This was the performance we
trained for. To beat a veteran of Dionicius’s caliber with that level of control
shows that Ashleyann is ready for the world stage.Taking home the WBC Super
Bantamweight Latino title is just the beginning."
On the Internet it was reported that, Dionicius, known for her grit, struggled
to find an answer for Lozada's lateral movement. By the middle rounds, Lozada
had found a permanent home for her lead left hook and straight right hand,
keeping Dionicius on the defensive and unable to mount a meaningful
counter-attack.

With this championship win, Lozada improves her standing in the super
bantamweight division and positions herself for a potential world title shot in
the near future.

established as a rising star to watch.
