EL PASO, TX — May 31, 2026 — Fresh off a controversial majority decision victory
at the El Paso County Coliseum, undefeated WBA lightweight champion Stephanie
"The Enforcer" Han (13-0, 3 KOs) found herself facing a new challenger before
the sweat had even dried.
Unified WBC, WBO, and Ring Magazine lightweight champion Caroline Dubois (10-0,
5 KOs) made the transatlantic journey to confront Han directly at the post-fight
press conference. Dubois, sitting ringside alongside Most Valuable Promotions
(MVP) co-founder Jake Paul, watched Han narrowly retain her title against combat
sports icon Holly Holm on the MVPW-03 card.
While Han initially used her post-fight interview to call for a legacy bout
against super lightweight champion Katie Taylor, Dubois completely shifted the
narrative. Taking the microphone, the 25-year-old British sensation looked
directly at the hometown champion and issued a clear challenge:"I don't want
Katie Taylor. I want you. If you don't get that Katie Taylor fight, who do you
want?"
Han, a full-time El Paso police officer and mother, did not back down from the
challenge, setting up a massive potential unification bout later this
year:"Caroline Dubois, if I don't get the Katie Taylor fight, I want to fight
you.
"The two champions later shook hands on the dais, verbally agreeing to a
blockbuster showdown that would clear the path toward an undisputed lightweight
queen.
I would like to add, "This is exactly what women's boxing needs right now—the
absolute best fighting the absolute best without the corporate delays. Han vs.
Dubois is a purist’s dream. You have Han's disciplined, grinding style up
against Dubois' explosive athleticism. WBAN has tracked the evolution of this
sport for decades, and this unification fight has all the ingredients to be an
instant classic that solidifies the true queen of the lightweight division."
