(JULY 13) BRENTWOOD, UNITED KINGDOM – Women’s boxing took center stage at the Brentwood Centre last night, featuring three female bouts on the card.

In the main event, Westbury’s own Megan "Lashes" Redstall captured the vacant WBO International Flyweight Championship winning the bout against London's Maisey Rose Courtney.

Redstall's last fight took place on February 15, 2026, winning her first 10-round bout over Consolata Musanga, in a none-too-challenging bout with taking all  rounds in the bout, with  100-90 on all judges scores.  They were fighting for a vacant Commonwealth Boxing Council Bantamweight title.

Courtney's last bout took place December 17, 2025, in a six-rounder winning by points over Sara Orszagi. 

According to news sources, they reported that Redstall controlled the pace and distance throughout the ten-round title bout.The judges ringside scored the bout 100-89, 100-89, and 98-91, declaring Redstall the winner by a unanimous decision.

The undercard featured a scheduled ten-round matchup, Shauna Browne stopped Lilia Cherifi via a referee stoppage in the third round.

Browne's continued pressure proved too much for Cherifi early on,  forcing the technical knockout.

Kicking off the female featured bouts, Cambridge lightweight Shona Whitwell (131 ¾ lbs) defeated Spain's Victoria Emma Lomax (133 lbs).

Originally scheduled for six rounds, Whitwell ended the contest emphatically in the fourth round, dropping Lomax with a devastating punch to secure the knockout victory.
