BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS - July 18, 2026 -  The boxing community is in deep mourning today following the sudden and tragic passing of Hannah “Hanarchy” Rapp.  Rapp just 26 years old.

The  Brazos County Sheriff's Office said the driver, Charles Medina, 31, passed two bicyclists traveling along FM 159. After passing them, investigators said Medina stopped his vehicle, reversed, and struck one of the cyclists.  Medina was arrested and charged with manslaughter and taken to the Brazos County Detention Center without incident, authorities said.  Investigators believe this was an isolated incident. A native of Yorktown, Indiana, Rapp was widely recognized as one of the most dedicated and talents in women's boxing.  After building an elite athletic foundation as a track athlete at Purdue University, Rapp transitioned into boxing and quickly ascended from the amateur ranks to the sport’s biggest stages.

She spent her recent years training out of the Bryan Boxing Gym in Texas while also serving her community as a full-time fire and life safety inspector at Texas A&M University.

Rapp leaves behind a professional boxing record of 8-1-1 (5 KOs).
Rapp became a two-time Indiana Golden Gloves Champion.

Rapp officially entered the professional ranks on April 20, 2024, scoring an immediate impact with her devastating punching power and signature relentless style.

Within her first year as a professional, Rapp captured the North American Boxing Federation (NABF) Featherweight Championship,

Solidifying her status as a top world contender.  Just weeks prior to her passing, on June 13, 2026, Rapp fought in the co-main event of a  Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) card broadcast live on ESPN+. In a thrilling, fan-friendly 10-round battle in Orlando, Florida, Rapp put her undefeated streak on the line to challenge Tiara Brown for the WBC World Female Featherweight Title. Though she lost via decision, her courage and skill captured the hearts of fans worldwide.
