(AUG 14) ATLANTA, GA — The super featherweight division is set for a
clash this coming Saturday, August 15, 2026, as newly crowned
37-year old Canadian world champion Caroline Veyre makes, 11-1-0
(0KO), makes a voluntary defense of her crown against undefeated 34
year old South African challenger Bernice Ferreira, 10-0-0
(4KO), in Atlanta, Georgia. The two will be fighting for the
IBO World Super Featherweight World title and the WBC World Super
Featherweight title.
Following a distinguished amateur run—highlighted by a gold
medal at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto and representing
Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games—Veyre seamlessly
transitioned her technical finesse and composure to the
professional ranks.
Her ultimate high-lighted moment came when she captured the
vacant super featherweight world title on February 10, 2026,
winning by a controversial decision over legendary Belgian
fighter Delfine Persoon. The judges scores were scattered at
95-91, 94-92, and 98-88.

fight against Ferreira.
