(AUG 16) — Local favorite Aldana Florencia Lopez put on a dominant performance at the Casino Buenos Aires on Saturday, August 15, 2026, defeating Mexico City’s Elizabeth Cruz Lopez by a ten-round unanimous decision.  The 29-year-old Buenos Aires native, known inside the ring as "La Avispa," weighed in at 102 3/4 pounds for the boutt.

Elizabeth Cruz Lopez, 23, came in at 100 3/4 pounds, missing the specified weight limit for the bout.  This was a comeback fight for Lopez as her last fight took place on October 5, 2024, where she won her last bout by an eight-round unanimous decision over  Luz Elena Aguilar Ventura. 

Aldana last fight took place on April 25, 2026, where she  won a ten-round unanimous decision over  Brenda  Rayas. Aldana won the ten rounds easily with a 100-90, 100-90, and 99-91 scores. 

Ahead of the match, Aldana Lopez talked about her training before the fight, "We are working very hard with my team and my partners,"

Elizabeth Lopez stated to Round Nacional prior to the bout.

 "Everyone is giving me a huge hand in sparring since my opponent is a southpaw and very complete. Much of the preparation is done with left-handed partners who demand the maximum from me.

"Despite the pre-fight weight discrepancy, the ten-round bout proceeded with Aldana Florencia Lopez controlling the pace and distance throughout the match.

The ringside judges scored the bout100-90, 93-97, and 92-98.  Aldana remains undefeated with a 16-0-0- (0KO).  Elizabeth is now 12-4-0 (2KO).
