In an
action-packed night of female boxing took place at the historic Korakuen
Hall in Tokyo, featuring an all-female boxing card. The nine-bout event
showcased female boxer from across Japan and international representation.

In the headlining
eight-round bout, Eri Matsuda (101 1/2 lbs) of Yokohama, Kanagawa,
secured an unanimous decision victory over Marina Loreto (101 3/4 lbs) of
Itami, Hyogo. The action-packed fight pushed both fighters to their limits, but
Matsuda ultimately controlled the pace to win with all three judges turning in
identical scores of 75-77. This was a non-title, 8-round atomweight
feature bout.
The rest of the extensive card featured highly competitive
matchups across multiple weight classes:
Natsume Kikuchi vs. Megumi Watanabe: In the second bout of the
evening, Kikuchi (101 3/4 lbs) of Atsugi, Kanagawa, and Watanabe
(101 1/2 lbs) of Tokyo fought to a competitive split draw after
their scheduled rounds.
Sayo Segawa vs. Ayumi Katayanagi: The third bout saw Tokyo’s
Segawa (103 1/2 lbs) secure a six-round majority decision over
Katayanagi (104 1/2 lbs) of Hiratsuka, Kanagawa. The judges
scored the bout 56-58, 57-57, and 56-58.
Ayumi Shuzui vs. Chiaki Yasui: In the fourth fight, Shuzui (101
3/4 lbs) of Tokyo delivered a dominant performance over fellow
Tokyo native Yasui (101 1/2 lbs), winning a six-round unanimous
decision with lopsided scores of 54-60, 55-59, and 54-60.
Nodoka Furukawa vs. Yoshie Wakasa: The fifth bout featured
higher-weight action, where Furukawa (125 3/4 lbs) of Fukuoka
won a six-round unanimous decision against Wakasa (124 3/4 lbs)
of Yokohama. The matchup between Nodoka Furukawa and Yoshie
Wakasa was a sanctioned championship bout for the vacant
Japanese Female Featherweight Title. The judges scored the
contest 55-59, 54-60, and 55-59.
Minami Hoshino vs. Momo Murata: In the sixth bout, Hoshino (109
1/4 lbs) spoiled the professional debut of Tokyo's Murata,
earning a TKO victory in the fourth and final round of their
scheduled four-rounder.
Wakashi Yoshida vs. Saki Abe: The seventh bout ended without a
definitive winner, as Yoshida (101 1/4 lbs) of Koshigaya,
Saitama, and Abe (98 1/4 lbs) of Tokyo fought to a four-round
majority draw
Miku Tamaki vs. Rin Fukui: In the eighth fight of the night,
Tamaki (117 lbs) of Tokyo edged out Fukui (117 1/4 lbs) of Kobe,
Hyogo, capturing a four-round majority decision.
Miyuu Yamamoto vs. Chika Taguchi: Concluding the nine-bout
spectacle, Yamamoto (110 3/4 lbs) secured a stoppage victory
over Canada's Taguchi (111 lbs) of Toronto, Ontario, winning by
TKO in the third round of a scheduled four-round bout.
The The all-female boxing event underscored the deep talent pool
and rising prominence of women's boxing in Japan.
