Emiko Raika,
born on January 24, 1975 in Kyoto, Japan. Raika did not have an easy life
when she was young, as news sources reported that she had lived with her
grandmother for three years, and after her grandmother had passed away, she
lived in a children's home until she turned 18 years old.
Raika got involved in boxing after seeing contact sports i.e. wrestling and
thought that it would be something that she wanted to do. She first
fought in the amateurs and was named the most "Outstanding Woman" in an
amateur tournament.
At that particular tournament, she met the gym owner, Toshihiro Yamaki.
Yamaki was very impressed with Raika's abilities and invited her to join his
