It might be destiny or it might be
divine intervention but the day that 19-year-old Natasha "The
Nightmare" Spence met Syd "The Jewel" Vanderpool was the day that boxing welcomed a new
contender. Six years later in 2010, the boxing world would see this
talented disciple of the sweet science make her much anticipated pro
boxing debut with a dominating win.

With 14 amateur fights and 2 Golden Gloves Championships behind her
Spence, spectacularly earned the nickname "The Nightmare."
Completely dominating her opponents in the lightweight division,
Spence is known for her lightning fast hands, great footwork and
deadly body punches.
Spence was named Best Female Novice Boxer at the 2009 Ontario Golden
Gloves, as well as Best Female Open Boxer at the 2010 Ontario Golden
Gloves. She has also been named Best Overall Female Boxer for the
years of 2009 and 2010.

"I just know I've done everything I could have possibly done to
prepare myself. I know that I have out-trained and will out-work my
opponent. I have the speed, skill and drive that supports my
confidence," says Spence. "Winning is just putting it all together."

best female boxer. As no stranger to the world champion stage, I
