our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and teammates of
Ardi Ndembo, a talented fighter whose life was tragically cut
short.
The allegation that Ardi Ndembo was knocked unconscious in
training shortly before his fatal bout deeply troubles and concerns
us. If true, it is our belief that this death was preventable if

(MAY 1) On Saturday, April 27th,
at the Miccosukee Casino & Resort in Miami, Florida,
Olivia Curry, 159.8, and Melody Popravak, 158.4, fought to a
draw in a six-round bout in the middleweight division. The rounds were each two
minutes in duration. Curry is a contender in the super
middleweight division with a rating of No. 5 by the
International Boxing Organization (IBO). Popravak had a record
of 1-1 before this fight, but her one loss was by split decision
in a four-round bout to super middleweight contender Kaitlin
LaVigne who is rated No. 12 by the IBO.

many of the years in the sport’s history, there have always been
female boxers. There are anecdotal mentions of women’s boxing at the
beginning of the 18th century and the first known advertised bout is
dated from 1722. But until relatively recently, women were
simply not issued licenses to fight and that severely impeded the
potential for women’s boxing to become popular.

Katie Taylor Could Be Set for One of
Biggest Fights Of 2024

May. Her promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he is working on a

Bantamweight champion Mea Motu will be returning to the historical
ABA Stadium in Auckland on April 26. During the recent Peach

Jerome Pampellone, Andrei Mikhailovich, and Northlands Mea Motu have
ended the business relationship with Dean Lonergan and signed with
No Limit Boxing. Lani Daniels has yet to announce her next move.
It was announced this week while Isaac Peach was in hospital with
kidney stones that Peach Boxing will end their business relationship
with Dean Lonergan under D&L Events. This includes IBF
Intercontinental champion Jerome Pampellone, WBO Global Champion
Andrei Mikhailovich and Northland's own IBO World champion Mea Motu.

Baumgardner lost to Linardatou by a close split decision in 2018

Boxing Council (WBC) published a statement on January 15, 2024

2nd through 9th, 2023 the 2023 Olympic Trials took place at the
Cajun Dome & Convention Center, Lafayette, Louisiana.
On December 8th, 2023 of Ring 2 was flawed. There was a timing
error which would cause the RE-DO of four the contested bouts.
In Ring 2 the timer was set at 2-minute rounds instead of
3-minute rounds which is standard bout time for Youth and Elite
boxers.
