A Stunning Night of Female Amateur Boxing

August 23, 2011

(AUG 23) When it comes to all female amateur boxing shows, Women in Support Together (W.I.S.T.) pulls no punches. Female Amateur boxers will showcase high energy fights in the “The Road to London” Series on Friday, September 9, 2011. Amateur female boxers from around the country will be competing.

W.I.S.T. has a long history in boxing and was the first to bring an All Female Boxing show to Washington, DC. “This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to see female amateur boxers in action,” said Wanda Bruce, CEO of W.I.S.T. and Female Boxing Promoter. “Everyone is welcomed to attend and show support for our female boxers who often get overlooked. Women in Support Together is serious about giving female boxers the opportunity to showcase their talents in preparation for the 2012 Olympics.

This show is sanctioned by Potomac Valley LBC, USA Boxing. The Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Gym is located at 7707 Barlowe Rd, Palmer Park, MD 20785. Doors open at 6pm with the first Bout at 7pm. Tickets are on sale now and priced at $20 for general admission and $10 for kids under 10. There is plenty of parking.

For more information on this event or Media Inquiries call, Wanda Bruce or via email at skyy@fightlady.org.
