2017 International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
Press Release
January 9, 2017

(JAN 9)  The International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) is proud to announce our 2017 IWBHF Inductees.  Those to be honored include Aileen Eaton (posthumous); Holly Holm; Daisy Lang; Ria Ramnarine; Ana Marie Torres; and

Throughout almost 20 years via the Women Boxing Archive Network (WBAN), we have continuously recognized and brought awareness of and attention to the sport of women's boxing and to its many athletes worldwide. Now, through the IWBHF we take it a step further by Honoring, Recognizing and Awarding those who have been an integral part of the sport of Women's Boxing by sealing their names in the annals of the sport.

During our Inaugural Induction Ceremony (2014) and our 2nd Induction Ceremony (2015), we inducted some of the sports' pioneers, legends and supporters.
Our events have drawn many people together into one space who are in some way or form connected to the sport and where networking and socializing has benefited many of our sponsors and attendees. And with each induction ceremony we seek to continue to bring many more people together.

**Note: As we announced last year we are honoring our 2016 and 2017 inductees at this year's tentative Induction Ceremony which we anticipate hosting in California. . . We will have more information published soon.

Our 2016 Honored Inductees are:

The IWBHF's fundamental mission is to continue to honor, recognize and award fighters, promoters, trainers, organizations and supporters of the sport of Women's Boxing, as well as, individuals and companies whose unconditional support has kept the sport alive throughout many
years.

This year (Summer of 2017), we anticipate hosting our Induction Ceremony in California.  As we announced last year we are honoring the 2016 and 2017 inductees at this years tentative ceremony.
