Big fight this Week in Ireland: Katie Taylor vs. Chantelle Cameron

(MAY 18) On Saturday, May 20th, at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland with the fight card beingl aired on DAZN, Katie Taylor of Ireland will face Chantelle Cameron in a multi-world title bout.

 

This is an exciting upcoming bout for Taylor as she will get the opportunity for the first time in her boxing career to fight in front of family and friends and boxing fans in Ireland. This will also be a history-making bout in Ireland when this fight take place between Taylor vs. Cameron.

In this world champion bout, Cameron defends her status as the undisputed super lightweight champion against Taylor, the undisputed lightweight champion.

Taylor said, "This is a huge occasion for me, and I am just delighted to actually have a chance to fight at home in front of the home crowd. A few years ago, I didn't think this was ever going to happen, so I am just so excited and so delighted about it."

Undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor, 22-0-0 (6KO) is looking to become a two division undisputed champion when she takes on Cameron, 17-0-0 (8KO).

In another female bout that is on the card, in the co-main event Terri Harper will be fighting Cecilia Braekhus in a ten-round bout, defending her WBA super welterweight world title.
