New Queen in the Ring:  Chantelle Cameron!
by Sue TL Fox
May 21, 2023

(MAY 21)  Let me start by just saying:  Fantastic fight that took place last night at the 3Arena, in Dublin, Ireland, between two of these top female boxers in the sport, undefeated Chantelle Cameron, 139¾, out of Northampton, United Kingdom, 17-0-0 (8KO), going into the fight against undefeated Katie Taylor, 139¾, of Ireland, in a main event scheduled ten-round bout with Cameron's Super Lightweight titles on the line.

This was a fantastic fight between these two that ended in a majority decision with the scorecards of 95-95, 94-96, and 94-96.

Taylor fighting in her hometown did a fantastic job in warding off many of Cameron's shots, but the speed,  power, and size of Cameron seem to take the edge on this fight with Taylor.

In the post fight conference, Cameron said that that was her toughest fight thus far.  It should be noted that with Cameron, now 18-0-0 (8KO), this was a back to back win for her when she defeated Jessica McCasKill in her last fight on November 11, 2023, winning the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC, AND WBO Super Lightweight world titles.

Cameron has literally defeated TWO of some of the best female boxers in the last two fights for multi-world titles, and neither of these fights were in Cameron's home grounds.

She has proven without a doubt that she is a New Queen in the Ring, among other great female boxers in different weight classes.  No trash talk with these champions...just showed what they had in the ring.

A huge congratulations to Cameron, and to Taylor for taking on the top competition with each other and making women's boxing proud!
