Alycia Baumgardner Named WBAN's December 2021 Fighter of the Month! November 30, 2921

(NOV 30)  WBAN would like to congratulate Alycia "The Bomb" Baumgardner, 11-1-0 (7KO), of Detroit, Michigan, as being named our WBAN December 2021 Fighter of the month.  She had a fantastic win when she stopped Terri Harper by TKO in the fourth round, in a world title fight for the WBC and IBO Super Featherweight titles.

Leonela Yudica Wins by a Unanimous decision over Isabel Millan November 27, 2921

(NOV 27) Last night at the Estadio Marcelo Garcia, Pocitos, San Juan, Argentina, Leonela Yudica, 109 1/4, successfully defended her IBF Flyweight title winning a 10-round unanimous decision over Isabel Millan, 111 1/2, of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Final judges scores was 92-98, 92-98, and 90-100.

World boxing champion meets with the president of Brazil November 7, 2021

(NOV 7)  Rosilete dos Santos met with the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, last Friday (November 5th), in Castro (Brazil). The president came to Castro at the invitation of Congresswoman Aline Sleutjes.  Born in Castro and now a resident of São José dos Pinhais, also in Brazil, Rosilete became in 2008 the first woman born in Brazil to win a world boxing title, winning the World Boxing Commission belt. In 2011, she won the WIBA (Women's International Boxing Association) world title, the largest women's boxing organization on the planet. Rosilete stopped fighting in professional boxing in 2013, ending her career with 34 fights, 29 wins and five losses.  Full Story
