Southpaw Super Welterweight Marie-Eve Dicaire,  was born in   She was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  Dicaire took an interest in contact sports at the age of 6.  She began taking karate at that age.  In her martial arts career she earned a black-belt at the age of 11. 

According to online sources, she ultimately became an International Champion in Karate at the age of 18, and is said to be an 18-times Karate champion in the Canadian championship.  Dicaire also during this timeframe, earned a black belt in kickboxing, and then at the age of 24, she began boxing. 

Dicaire had accumulated many amateur boxing fights, and it is reported she had 50 fights.  At the time she was an amateur,  she won Ringside World Championship in 2012; in 2013, won the  Quebec Gants Dores Champion, Canadian Amateur Champion and Ringside World Championship;, she was also named Athlete of the Year (2013) by Box Quebec.

At the age of 24 years old, she began fighting professionally in boxing. 

Dicaire has won the IBF title and has held that title in the light-middleweight division since 2018; she is also the first Quebec champion to win the IBF World Super-Welterweight belt. [photo credits:  Facebook].
