5'6" Nicole M. Ocasio born on October 18, 2000, of Tampa, Florida, is an amateur boxer, who currently fights at 132 lbs.  Her father, Henry Ocasio is her coach, and their club name is the Gladiators.

In an interview on social media, Nicole was asked how she got into boxing, and why she decided to get into the sport.

Nicole said, "At 14, I use to run track then I got sick and I was hospitalized with pneumonia.  I was very weak, I lost a lot of weight and I couldn’t do much. My father took me to the boxing gym he used to train to get conditioning so I could go back to do track stronger, instead I fell in love with boxing and it became a big part of my life."

There was an excellent interview of Nicole when she was 19 years old by Damon Gonzalez where she talks in more detail about her goals in boxing, about her early times when she first walked into the gym and more.

Nicole has said that her biggest inspiration and motivation  in the sport comes from all of the women boxers, and gives credit to all of their hard work and perseverance.  In addition that they have finally  been able to be recognized and be allowed to compete in the Olympics for the first time in boxing at the 2012 Olympics.

Nicole adds, "My parents motivates me the most for their endless support of me being in the sport."

So what does Nicole bring to the ring?  Her greatest assets?  She said that she feels her speed and footwork are her greatest assets.

Nicole has trained with pro boxer Noemi Bosques in Florida.

Her current amateur boxing record is 18-3 as of this date.  Nicole has had many career highlights thus far in her young career.  Some of the highlights were the following:

Nicole winning to the #1 Boxer from Argentina by unanimous decision in the 2017 Ringside World Championship;  National Titles Won: 2017 Youth National Champion in Salt Lake City, Utah. 2017 Ringside World Champion, 2017 National Women Golden Gloves Champion, 2016/2017 Junior and Youth Sugar Belt National Champion.

WBAN will continue to update boxing fans on this up and coming boxing star in the making---and don't be surprised if she decides to go Pro, in her video interview she talked about being an amateur vs. a pro!
