WOMEN'S BOXING - News Story on WBAN!

(AUG 27) There are certain cliches in boxing that are used too often and lose their meaning because they are repeated too many times. Related story of fight results of Belinzsky vs. Chubirka that took place last night in Hungary

But, I am going to say this with full meaning on my words.

That was the worst robbery I have ever seen in boxing. It was so bad that I am speechless. I didn't know that such a thing could be possible, yet I should have known.

Belinszky was awarded the decision 7 rounds to 1 by the lone scoring referee. A man so unjust that he should never be allowed to participate in this sport again.

From the first round I knew we had a problem. Marianne came out fast and hard and Belinszky started to hold. When Marianne would try to break free he would warn Marianne for holding.

In the second round he warned Marianne for hold twice more for the infraction of being held bz Belinzsky. The more Belinszky held the more he warned Marianne.

In the third round he took a point from Marianne for holding. Anyone who has ever seen Marianne Chubirka fight knows that she does not hold. It would be antithetical to her style, especially in a fight with a much smaller, weaker girl.

So the fight droned on with Marianne attacking, landing hard powerful punches only to be grabbed after every single exchange. It was as if Belinszky knew that all should would have to do is survive until the end and things would be ok.

She was right.

I do not recall Belinszky landing a single significant punch the entire fight.

I should have known this would happen. It is my fault and the fault of any American that is dumb enough to fight Belinszky in Hungary.

I would like to point out a couple of important things before signing off.

The promoter treated us very well during this trip. I have nothing bad to say about any aspect of this trip except the fight and the decision.

Now, there is the matter JollyDee. He will be the official reporter to WBAN for this fight. He is a paid employee of the Belinszky camp and he sat on the apron the entire fight snapping photos and yelling cheers and advice to Kristina. I even take a short video of him doing it on my cell phone in case he tries to deny it.

This man should not be allowed to do anything other than send in results and pictures. To call him a journalist is a joke and an insult to journalism.

Again, to any American considering fighting in Hungary. Don't do it. You cant win. Being better than her is not enough. Being way better than her is not enough. You can't roll a 7 when you are playing with loaded dice.
