Julaton-Olivo August 21 in Lemoore
By Bernie McCoy
August 12, 2008

(AUG 12) In a battle of up-and-coming female fighters from opposite coasts, Ana Julaton and Dominga Olivo will fight eight rounds, on August 21, at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, CA, for the vacant WBC International super bantamweight title.

Julaton, 4-0-1, from Daly City, CA is coming off a six round draw with Johana Mendez in July. Olivia, 6-4-1, boxing out of Monticello, NY, dropped a ten round decision, on July 31, to Ela Nunez for the IWBF super bantamweight title. Nunez, was named the current WBAN Fighter of the Month. Oliva replaces Donna Biggers, Julaton's original opponent.

Angelo Reyes, Julaton's manager, stated, "We're excited about Ana matching up with a true professional like Dominga Olivo and we appreciate Dominga agreeing to come to the West Coast for the bout. This fight is a big step up for Ana in terms of quality opposition and we look forward to a very exciting night at the Tachi Casino."
