(OCT 11) Eight-time Time World Champion Ann “Brown Sugar” Wolfe has made the transition from boxer to trainer. Ann Wolfe made history by becoming the 1st female Chief 2nd for a male boxer, junior middleweight sensation James “Mandingo” Kirkland (23-0, 20 KOs).

This Saturday Ann will be in Germany making her first appearance as a chief 2nd with a professional female fighter, S’Kati Katz. Ann has been training S’kati for the last 6 weeks. Ann has been putting S’kati through the same rigorous training program that she uses for James. Her training techniques have caused a buzz in the boxing world ever since James made his debut on HBO boxing after dark in May of this year.

Ann is now conducting training camps at her gym in Austin, TX where she still trains twice a day. Though Ann has not officially retired she has not had a fight in two years. She may fight one more time as an official retirement fight but until then she will continue to make her mark in the training world. Ann’s goal is to become a top trainer in the boxing world and it looks like she is well on her way.
