(JAN 2, 2010) WBAN has
just updated our Matchmaker's Hotlist on the Member's site.
We have also listed some of our Wish list fights we would
like to see from that compilation on the Matchmaker's Hot List.
There are 100 fights we have recommended on that site at this time
and are continually working on the list.
What is the Matchmaker's Hot List you might ask?
The WBAN's Matchmaker's Hot List is where we give promoters and
matchmakers a little help in letting them know of some of the
matches that could be very competitive and would be a potential fight
they may want to feature on their cards. There is ALSO an ONLINE FORM
for the Member Boxing Community to suggest matches
for this segment! We have listed below a sampling of some of the
Wish List Fights we would like to see in 2010:
#1:
Myriam Lamare vs. Holly Holm
These two are WBAN's two world champions. We would like to see
Lamare defend the WBAN independent belt in the junior
welterweight division against Holly Holm, along with a
federation belt that is required for any WBAN belt to be on a
world title fight. (WBC, WIBA, etc).
#2:
Jeanine Garside vs. Melissa Hernandez
This bout would be
a toe-to-toe all-action bout.
#3:
Marcela Acuna vs. Melinda Cooper
This match has the
potential to be a very exciting bout that would be
excellent as a world title fight.
#4:
Anabel Ortiz vs. Carina Moreno
Rematch for the
two--Venue should be in the USA second time around.
#5:
Rhonda Luna vs. Jeannine Garside
Luna vs. Garside would
make a very interesting matchup with their particular boxing
styles.
#6:
Jennifer Barber vs. Myriam Chomaz
We would like to see a
rematch between Barber vs. Chomaz. Barber, an accomplished
former amateur and who was undefeated when she went to France
and lost by a controversial split decision the first time out.
#7:
Ann Marie Saccurato vs. Holly Holm
WBAN would like to see a
rematch between these two.
#8:
Jolene Blackshear vs. Yesica Bopp
Blackshear vs. Bopp could definitely be an intriguing
international fight between these two!
#9:
Ana Marie Torres vs. Alesia-Tamara Graf
Toores vs. Graf could actually be a candidate for a WBAN belt
with our January 2010 ratings. Torres is ranked #1 as a
junior bantamweight, and Graf is our #2 in the same weight
class. Both boxer has about 24 pro fights, and so the experience
as a professional is very similar.

Jackie Nava vs. Ina Menzer
Definitely a hot match between these
two!
