Former IBF/WBC Champion Susie Q' Ramadan Working Towards Another Title Shot

(SEPT 16) Former IBF and WBC World Female Bantamweight Champion Susie Q' Ramadan of Melbourne, Australia visited the Big Apple last week with Lynden Hosking (HP), Bess Slater (Operations Manager, HP), Luke Meldon (Trainer, HP), Pat Connelly (Trainer, HP) and stablemate Shannon O'Connell, and trained at the infamous Gleason's Gym and met 3-time World Boxing Champion and former WBC World Super Bantamweight Champion Alicia Ashley; current WBC International Super Bantamweight Champion Heather Hardy;  former IWBF World champion Super Featherweight and WBC Silver Super Featherweight Champion Ronica Jeffrey;  Melissa St. Vil;  and WIBA World Flyweight champion Keisher "Fire" McLeod; Bruce Silverglade;  and Malissa Smith (GirlBoxing). Susie "Q" had an opportunity to spar with Heather Hardy.

Susie, who is working towards another title shot, signed with Hosking Promotions of Bendigo, Victoria, Australia in hopes, to do just that.

Susie's last bout was on October 24, 2014, in Durango, Mexico, where she lost her WBC World Bantamweight Crown to Mexico's Yazmin Rivas (30-8-0) in a 10-round decision. After that loss Ramadan took some time to reflect and decided to join Lynden Hosking of Bendigo, Victoria in search of another go at the prestigious Green and Gold.

Susie says that her visit to the Big Apple and to Las Vegas to attend the Mayweather-Berto fight was a humbling experience.

Upon Susie's return to Melbourne she was asked about her trip and here's what she had to say;

"I can't begin to find the words to say how grateful I am to Lynden Hosking my promoter-manager, Bess Slater, Hosking Promotions Operations Manager, my trainer Pat Connelly and of course my sister Jules for their support. I also can't express how grateful I am that Eddie is part of our team and that we got to meet all the girls at Gleason's accept for Sonya Lamonakis. I even sparred with Heather Hardy which was way cool."

"I didn't know what to expect once I got to New York. All I know is that I'm a fighter and the opportunity to accompany Lynden and the rest to what was once the Mecca of Boxing and train at its world renown Gleason's Gym gave me hope. All I want to do is fight. And if I get a call for bigger fights then I'll be ready," Susie said.

"Going to Las Vegas to the Mayweather-Berto fight, meeting Roberto Duran and others was unreal. I also went to a local boxing gym where I met a young boxer named Marina Ramirez who has a future in the sport," Susie said.

Susie Ramadan is scheduled to fight in early December in Melbourne. Once those details are confirmed Hoskings Promotions will announce.

A su regreso de Susie a Melbourne se le preguntó sobre su viaje y esto es lo que tenía que decir;
