Videos/Photos:  Two Female Bouts In Mexico!
Photos:  Pepe Rodriguez
December 15,  2015

(DEC 15) On Saturday, December 12th, at the Auditorio Blackberry, Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico, there were two female bouts featured on the card. There were eight bouts on the card.  BOTH female bouts were televised on TELEVISA.

In the first bout,  in what was considered a five-star bout with not only Boxrec but WBAN, Jessica "Kika" Chavez, 111.5, of Mexico City, fought to a ninth round stoppage of Italy's southpaw, Simona "Romagna Queen" Galassi, 111.5.

Throughout the bout, Chavez the much shorter, but quicker and body puncher, won rounds 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and eight, with a 10-10, in the seventh round, and the fight being stopped in the ninth due to an accidental headbutt that left Galassi with a open cut over her eye, that was about an inch or so split open.  She was obviously disappointed with the bout being stopped by the ref, with only about three or so minutes to the end of the bout.  In this bout, Chavez was defending her WBC flyweight title.  The bout was ruled a "TD" at 45 seconds of the ninth round.  Video of bout

In the second female bout on the card,  in a six-round non-title bout, Lourdes "La Pequeña Lulú" Juarez, of Mexico City, won a controversial split decision  over Jazmin " Bombardera" Gonzalez.  Gonzalez came into the bout with a 4-0 (3KO) record, making her pro debut earlier this year and fighting regularly.  Video of Bout
