Martha Salazar was offered this fight at the WBC Women's Boxing convention that both Martha and her Manager Blanca Gutierrez attended in Tijuana Mexico January 27th. “

Salazar said, "When the fight was offered to us we jumped at the chance to fight in Mexico. I have always wanted to fight in Mexico. At the NABF Convention in San Francisco last year, we met with WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and asked him if he could make it happen. I am so excited for this opportunity to defend my title."

Salazar was born in Ocotlan, Jalisco Mexico and moved to United States when she was 9 years old. Salazar trains at Babyface Boxing in Pacifica, California and resides in San Jose, California.

Salazar and Jimenez will be making history in Mexico as Martha returns to her native country to put her title on the line. This will be the first time a Women’s WBC Heavy Weight Female title fight will be in Mexico.
