Today he has announced a massive undercard supporting Tania Reid vs Karen Te Ruki Pasene.  New Zealand amateur national 2018 champion Holly McMath will be making her professional debut on the undercard. (JAN 30) COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- USA Boxing announced today the 13 boxers who will represent Team USA at the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games Tokyo Boxing Qualification Events, as well as the 13 alternates. Two Female Bouts featured at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan

On Monday night, January 27th, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, there were two female bouts on the card, in addition six male bouts.
In the first bout, minimum-weight Kaoru Iga, 98¼ lbs., of  Kobe, Hyogo, Japan, won a four-round unanimous decision over  Atsuko Ishiguro, 98¾, from Tokyo.  The final score was 40-36 on all judges cards.  Iga improved her record to 2-1-1 (0KO).   Full Story

Italy to host AIBA European Forum on February 29

(JAN 27)  AIBA European Continental Boxing Forum takes place in the city of Assisi, Italy on February 29. National Federations are sending confirmations to participate to this important meeting.  First AIBA Continental Forum was held on January 18, in the Panama City, Panama. In total, 38 federations attended the event leaded by AIBA Interim President Dr Mohamed Moustahsane and AIBA Marketing Commission chair, EC member from Russia Mr Umar Kremlev. (JAN 25) Kellie Harrington had to settle for silver at the Strandja multi-nations in Sofia, Bulgaria after losing on a split decision to Mira Potkonen this afternoon.  The aggressive Finn won the lightweight final 3-2 to take the gold medal after three tight rounds at the Sofia Hall.  Harrington’s combinations, particularly in the second round and at the start of the third, impressed.   Potkonen probably won the first frame and Harrington the second. The third was even but the European champion got the nod over the 2018 World titlist.  Full Story

Leatitia "Baby Girl" Robinson Returns to the Ring

(JAN 24)  There is exciting news that came out in a press release this week that Leatitia "Baby Girl" Robinson is returning to the ring after having her last pro bout on April 4, 2009, when she fought Ijeoma Egbunine.  She left the sport with an impressive record and winning world titles when she was active.  Robinson is set to fight on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Hammond Civic Center in Hammond, Indiana, and will be fighting  2019 WBO Light Heavyweight Challenger “Classy” Claire Hafner (4-2) of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  Full Story

Closing 2019 Out with Two Female Bouts in Japan!

(JAN 1, 2020) Last night on New Year's Eve, there was a live boxing card that took place at the Ota-City General Gymnasium, in Tokyo, Japan, there were two female bouts featured on this card.  In one bout, super flyweight Miyo Yoshida, 114¾, of Tokyo, Japan, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Li Ping Shi, 112¼, with Miyo winning  a ten-round unanimous decision.
