McConnell Wins by TKO
Photo and report

(OCT 24) On Saturday, October 22, at the Emerald Queen Casino, in Tacoma, Washington, Molly McConnell, of Portland, Oregon,  looked sharp in defeating Janae Archuleta, of Denver, Colorado.

McConnell controlled the action with short quick hard jabs, while Archuleta tried to land big shots to McConnell's body. Each time Archuleta fired a shot to the ribs, McConnell came over the top and most of the time she landed.

By the end of the second round Archuleta's eyes were beginning to swell as she was taking some punishment. McConnell stepped up her pressure in the third, and there was nowhere for Archuleta to run. When McConnell pinned her on the ropes and began to land lefts and rights, the referee stepped in to stop the fight. The official time was 55 seconds of the third round, a TKO victory for Molly McConnell, now 5-1-0. Archuleta falls to 5-13-1.
