WOMEN'S BOXING - News Story on WBAN!

(APR 18) On April 7, 2006, WBAN received a frantic email from Ria Ramnarine in regards to she and her team being stuck in London, and were trying to get a hold of Team Krisztina Belinszky. WBAN then received a response from Team Belinszky, that had their side of the story. Shortly thereafter, Ramnarine responded to THAT response of Belinszky's.

Today WBAN received an "open letter" from Krisztina Belinszky, and she said the following:

Dear readers,

Ria Ramnarine and her team committed a serious breach of contract. We don't want to explain ourselves but we have hard facts shoring up what has happened and disproving Ria's lies. In the contract Ria's team asked that they would arrive to Budapest teo days before the match because of the changeover and the rest. Moreover they asked that backwards they could spend two days in London with relations and acquaintances. Certainly we accepted this and booked the tickets in accordance with this. They left home on Wednesday afternoon and arrived to London on Thursday morning. As there's no Hungarian consulate in Trinidad their visa could be arranged only in London, which was done in time, but they were not at the airport then. There are several
flights from this airport to Bp, as to the info of the airport they offered them that with 100 dollars excess fare they can change the tickets to the next flight, but they declined it and their tickets were lost. They did not call us, despite of the fact that they had two mobile numbers which could be called all day around. We could contact all of the competitors except them. As it turned out later on they cancelled the
tickets by phone, as they were no longer at the airport then, they went to their friends to London. When they finally called us they told that they will arrive one day later compared to the date we booked before, then next time they called us only on Friday afternoon at 4 pm, and told us still they are in London. When this call arrived we were at the place of the weight control before the gala, and all the judges and Mr. Moose could hear it, even Mr. Moose Lewis spoke with Ria's team, and he became very angry. He offered that one of
his friends in London goes to the airport and buys the tickets, and he let them know that according to the contract they have to come to Hungary. They answered that because of their "other programmes" (dinner) they have no time and "offered" fight the match on Sunday, while the gala had been organized for Saturday! After this they did not answer to our calls, it can be certified by all the judges had been present. We gave the documents to Mr. Moose. Probably Ria had a great feasting (before the weight control!) during the
five days she spent in London, and we had to pay her holiday - we have paid 4000 dollars only for the tickets. London-Budapest is a 2,5 hours flight, if Ria really wanted to box she could have come, but she didn't want! She didn't pick up the phone when we called, she rather wrote to WBAN to explain the unexplainable.Americans know very well that they can arrange their visa only personally.
