Advanced Screening: Meet the Maker of "Boxers"

(DEC 29) The advanced screening of "Boxers", will take place on  January 28, 2007, 7:00 p.m., before premiering in March at Walker Art Center's Women with Vision Film Festival.

A woman-owned boxing gym with an all-female amateur boxing team are putting in their mouth guards and changing the face of boxing as they train to compete in the world's largest international boxing tournament. Friendship, violence and fear erupt on this historical journey. In a time when women are told not to fight, these women step into the ring ready to face more than one fight in front of their gloves.

BOXERS is the story of seven women claiming their own
story about the love of boxing.
