January 31, 2013 - Las Pulgas, in Tijuana, Mexico
In the semi-main, Jolene Blackshear, San Diego, CA, won a six round unanimous decision over Linda Soto, from Chihuahua, Mexico The two were fighting in the junior flyweight division.  No other details at this time. Notes on Jolene Blackshear by WBAN's Correspondent:  First pro bout in June 1996. Her second bout was against legend Yvonne Trevino and suffered her only stoppage (due to cuts). Only two other losses were decisions in title fights (at flyweight against Margaret Sideroff and at minimumweight against Dan Bi Kim). After each of these two losses, she took long layoffs (2000-2009) 2009-2012. Some of her most memorable wins were against Anissa Zamaron, Delia Gonzales, and Melissa McMorrow. I first saw her fight on network TV in June of 1998 (from Atlantic City) against British fighter Sara Hall. Her current comeback started last fall, and she obviously believes she has enough skill to compete in at least one more title fight.

January 30, 2013 - Entertainment Centre, Sydney, in New South Wales, Australia

January 26, 2013 - Polideportivo Municipal, Buenos Aires, Argentina Yesica Bopp, 107, won by a decision over Marisa Johanna Portillo, 108, in a 10 rounder.  The two were fighting for the WBA and WBO light flyweight belts.  According to online sources there was a accidental head butt in the ninth round.  Final judges scores were 98-91, 100-90, and 100-90.  WBAN's correspondent said the following: "Bopp was way ahead on points and there was no intension to deliberately head butt her opponent. I hate to see a bout stopped for a cut, particularly on a fighter who is not otherwise hurt, and particularly in a championship fight and in the tenth round; but clearly, the cut needed immediate medical attention as the blood would have blinded Portillo and made her defenseless." January 6, 2013 - Sportova hala MSO, Šturovo, Slovakia

There was a boxing card that had a "mini-tournament final" that had the women fighting twice on the card. lightweight Dalia Vasarhelyi won a four-round unanimous decision over Rita Kenessey. then she fought again this night against Dalia Vasarhelyi winning a four-rounder by decision over Alexandra Gorog. Then Alexandar Gorog fought another fight on the same card against Gabriella Vicze, where Gorog won a four-round decision over Vicze.
