Garbatt Wins by fourth round KO
March 6, 2008

(MAR 5) Last night in New York City, New York,  at the Manhattan Center, and promoted by  Lou DeBella's Broadway Boxing, featherweight Lindsay Garbatt, of Canada defeated Tracy Hutt, of Island Park, by a KO in the fourth round. Hutt was making her pro debut.

One observer said, "I saw the Lindsay Garbett v. Tracey Hutt fight. Hutt was pretty quick, had good flurries, not with a lot of power,  good side to side footwork, crouched down low occasionally. Her style seemed to give Garbatt troubles. Garbatt was more hittable with her head less mobile, but she was strong, determined, took a good shot, was in very good shape with a rock solid body, and a strong punch. It was a close and competitive fight. The first 3 rounds were tough to score. Garbatt might actually have been getting outboxed and down a round going into the 4th, but came out very aggressively and jumped on Hutt with two really strong rights on the chin that dropped her. Hutt could not get up, despite her best efforts."

Team Hutt told WBAN, that Lindsay Garbatt knocked out Tracy Hutt after, Hutt winning the first three rounds had gotten caught with two overhand rights in the fourth round landing flush on Hutt's chin, and that Hutt could not get up to beat the count.

Team Hutt added, "Hutt asked Garbatt for a rematch and she made a verbal agreement for a rematch with Hutt."
